Hole #13
The 151 yard, 13th hole is a relatively short par 3 but is well
protected. The entire left side of the hole as well as the back side of the
green are protected with a thick cropping of trees and bush and marked
with out of bound stakes. The left side also nestles up to the Welland River.
The right side contains a variety of scattered trees of varying sizes.
The green itself is elevated, small and difficult to stick and hold. There is a greenside sand bunker to add to the need for accuracy from the tee. A shot to the right and you find the bunker. To the left, you find your shot in the trees or out of bounds. Too long a shot and it bounces out of bounds. The normal wind on this hole, most days, will be at your back but will not seem that way due to the shielding of all the trees. Best shot here, use a high lofted iron and play it one club shorter.
