Hole #2
This 193 yard, Par 3 is one of Oakland's most challenging holes.
Driving from an elevated tee block with out of bounds along the right side, you
may want to lay up but not into the low lying, sometimes water filled depression
in front of the green. The green is not only small and elevated but it is also
protected by a sand bunker spanning 80% of the front portion of the green.
In addition, the hole is further protected by trees lining each side of the approach to the green. To the back side of the green there are also many trees of varying sizes together with a deep rough. This will make you think twice about taking out that extra club. The normal prevailing wind on this hole is also out of the southwest creating a crosswind into your face when standing on the tee. Beware the wind on this one as the trees surrounding it give you the impression of a calm day. 'Not so above the tree line'.
