From the Tee

Hole #5

The Par 4, 386 yard 5th hole presents a relatively straight away tee shot but the better shot is to leave your drive between 100-150 yards out and to the right side of the fairway. Coming into the green from the right side leaves more room for error on the approach as water and trees span the entire length of the left side of the green. The right side and back of the green are protected by trees as well.

The green on # 5 is long and narrow with the most difficult pin placement being at left center close to the edge of the water. An errant approach shot to the left will place your ball in the water or the trees to the left making double bogie a most likely outcome. The green is firm and requires a high approach shot in order to stick. The normal prevailing wind places the wind at your back further adding to the difficulty of the approach as a shot off the back side is not a desirable place to be with difficult rough and scattered mature trees in abundance.
